Episode 13: "The Fabulous Bacon Boys."

This week the Dopey Duo rewind to the balmy summer of 2016 when they crossed the nation with "The Fabulous Bacon Boys" the second of their acclaimed "Rhyming Trilogy". On the way, they get waylaid by earwax, Billy Connolly, Weston-super-Mare mud, the correct term for a Cornish person and the best way to melt bronze. And Stu comes over all Claire Rayner and gets a bit out of his depth...

Episode 12: "Frankenstein" part 3

In this, the third and final instalment of their Frankenstein series, the Trite Trio give this monster of a show a good send off with much theatrical anecdotary concerning their mounting of it at the Tropicana on Weston Super Mare’s glittering seafront in the long, cold winter of 2016.

Episode 11: "Frankenstein" part 2

After receiving a flattering comment from Sue Mercer comparing their podcast to a BBC radio 4 arts programme, the trivial trio set out to redress the balance by delving into such sordid topics as Stu’s penis, Bucks Fizz flavoured crisps, Stu’s penis again, human names for birds, more of Stu’s penis, Craig’s attempts to be like Louis Theroux and, yes, you guessed it…a little bit more about Stu’s penis.

 

Including part 2 of Craig’s interview with artistic director of the Salisbury Playhouse, Gareth Machin, and part 2 of Howard and Stu’s interview with Frankenstein band members, Lauryn Rodding and Milky Sadler. Plus the usual japes, jingles and jocularity and a brand new solo spot for Stu!

Episode 10: "Frankenstein" part 1

In part 1 of this “bumper” 10th episode of the podcast, Director Craig Edwards joins Howard and Stu in the studio, and the Turgid Trio get so bogged down in such trivialities as the virtues of puppets, Robert De Niro, the crapness of Craig’s favourite film and the benefits of naked rehearsals that they forget to play a song, and only just remember to discuss their smash hit 2016 show, FRANKENSTEIN.

In an extended bumper episode of the Podcast, the gruesome twosome dive into 2019's The Living Quiz AND include 4 ROUNDS of the quiz for your lockdown pleasure! You lucky people!

Ah, the one that got away...Howard and Stu were supposed to be opening this show tonight. Instead they're stuck at home recording their various ponderings on topics as diverse as internationally renowned Irish folk singers, what the french for "Waffle" is and the physical attributes of different varieties of Lettuce.

Plus the inside scoop on how "Elizabeth" got made, the usual epic bantz, japes and jingles and more lurid tales of those crazy nights on tour in Sturminster Newton.

Episode 5: "Giants of Science"

Having received a comment from Dr. Phillip Naylor about how impressive their science knowledge is, The dynamic duo set out to prove him wrong by diving into their 2018/19 show, “Giants of Science”.

Stu apologises for last weeks antics and extolls the virtues of They Might Be Giants and Howard gets as deep as a puddle with Howard’s End.

Episode 4: "The Nativity"

Craig's at home recreating classic album covers, so Howard and Stu get all biblical, discussing their 2017/2018 smash hit Christmas show, "Living Spit's Nativity" from their respective homes (round the corner from each other in Clevedon)
